Margaretakyrkan in Oslo Thursday, February 7th at 19.00
To open this year’s season, the female singers of the Norwegian Soloist Choir and Swedish conductor Cecilia Rydinger Alin, invite you to their very first concert without the male singers in the choir. Together they will perform music by Karin Rehnqvist, Arne Nordheim and Francis Poulenc – one of the leading choral music composers of the 20th century.
Cecilia Rydinger Alin is one of Sweden’s leading musical personalities, with a broad sphere of activities as a conductor and teacher as well as a Vice-Chancellor in higher musical education.
Tonight’s guests will be Vilde&Inga, a young string duo playing acoustic free improvised music, featuring violin and double bass. Vilde Sandve Alnæs and Inga Margrete Aas are both classically trained musicians. In 2016 they received The Lindeman Prize for Young Musicians, and they are touring both in Norway and internationally both as a duo and in collaboration with other leading musicians. Vilde&Inga’s first album, Makrofauna, was released on ECM March 2014. They released their second album ‘Silfr’ on the Norwegian label SOFA May 2017.
