The critics of Gramophone magazine has chosen their favorite recordings from the past 12 months and our latest release is on it!
‘The Wind Blows’ is a portrait of the outstanding Norwegian composer Alfred Janson. It was recorded in close collaboration with Janson himself and conductor Grete Pedersen, and released on BIS Records in October.
Andrew Mellor from Gramophone writes: “I was taken aback by the skill, imagination and power of this music by an elder Norwegian composer who has never really had his due. Alfred Janson has worked closely with Grete Pedersen’s Norwegian Soloist’s Choir, the superlative quality of whose singing here is a fitting redress to his music’s neglect”.
