The Norwegian Soloists' Choir Academy visit Davos Festival for young and talented musicians

Each year the Davos Festival – young artists in concerts, gathers talented musicians for a ten days long festival in Switzerland.

This year The Norwegian Soloists' Choir Academy has been invited to the festival together with conductor Grete Pedersen.

The Davos Festival presents works of classical and contemporary music of 20 and 21 century, especially chamber music, but also baroque music. The 2022 Festival is under the motto “Flunkern” – ‘fibbing’ in English – and focuses on themes such as legends, lies and borrowed plumes.

The Norwegian Soloists' Choir Academy

The Norwegian Soloists' Choir Academy will be formed of the future’s ensemble singers. After auditioning, the singers aged between 18-26 has been chosen as participants in this talent programme giving them unique educational opportunities together with professional musicians. The Norwegian Soloists' Choir Academy is a multi-year initiative made possible by Talent Norge and Sparebankstiftelsen DNB.

Grete Pedersen, conductor

Since 1990 the choir has sung under the leadership of Grete Pedersen, one of the most renowned conductors in the international choral scene. She is a demanded guest conductor and has worked with the Eric Ericson Kammerchor, Schwedischen Rundfunkchor, Netherlands RadioChor, Netherlands Chamber Choir, Danish National Vocal Ensemble and Choir, Rundfunkchor Berlin, Pro Coro Canada, Tokyo Cantat, World Youth Choir among others.
