Solistkoret UNG

Solistkoret UNG will be formed of the future’s ensemble singers. The selected participants will be given unique educational opportunities together with professional musicians.

A new generation of ensemble singers

With Solistkoret UNG, The Norwegian Soloists’ Choir wants to help create a new generation of ensemble singers.

After auditioning, eight to twelve singers aged between 18-26 will be chosen from the whole country as participants in this talent programme. The singers will be paid for their participation in the programme.

With an artistic committee lead by artistic director Grete Pedersen, the participants will be given individual coaching and tuition in various ensemble skills.

The basis for a singing career

An additional measure is to help build a basis for future professional singing careers and to ease the transition between student and professional music life.

The Norwegian Soloists’ Choir will collaborate and participate in exchanges with other central cultural institutions. Solistkoret UNG is a multi-year initiative made possible by Talent Norge and Sparebankstiftelsen DNB.
