Ultima 2026
Solistkoret and Yuval Weinberg: HUSH
The Norwegian Soloists' Choir returns to the Ultima Oslo Contemporary Music Festival with a new collaboration with multimedia artist Camille Norment, under the direction of conductor Yuval Weinberg.
HUSH unfolds as a dreamlike journey in which the boundaries between inner and outer realities dissolve. The audience is invited to lie down with eyes closed or covered, allowing the other senses to sharpen as sound becomes immersive, shifting, and subtly disorienting.
The concert also marks Yuval Weinberg’s first performance in Oslo as the choir’s new Artistic Director, signaling the beginning of a new chapter for the ensemble.

Claudia Jane Scroccaro (f. 1984): On the Edge

Camille Norment (f. 1970): Wonderful Marvelous – Fuge state
In conjunction with her solo exhibition at Atelier Nord, Camille Norment’s live performance composition Wonderful Marvelous – fuge state, is a work inspired by voice, body, and sonic feedback, as well as dissociative cultural memory, and historical feedback loops – de-generative repetitions.
Extend the experience
Would you like to explore Camille Norment’s artistic practice? From September 11th to November 29th, the exhibition Wonderful, Marvelous is on view at Atelier Nord in Oslo.
Here, visitors are invited into a space filled with floating female voices and immersive sonic landscapes. Fragments of songs from the 1940s appear and disappear, moving between themes of love, desire, and a sense of optimistic lightness—while underlying political tensions and disillusion gradually emerge.
