The Norwegian Soloists' Choir has been invited to participate in six concerts at the Rosendal Chamber Music Festival in August. Under the direction of conductor Grete Pedersen, the choir will present music by Johann Sebastian Bach, Ruth Wilhelmine Meyer, and Franz Liszt.

With its breathtaking backdrop of sea and mountains in West Norway, the 17th century manor house of Rosendal has lured guests on a remote journey across the Hardanger Fjord for more than 300 years. Today, Baroniet is the setting for the Rosendal Chamber Music Festival, founded by pianist and artistic director Leif Ove Andsnes in 2016.

This year, Andsnes presents his most ambitious program yet. The theme for this year, contrasts, forms the basis for a five-day exploration of Hungarian music. A direct contrast is the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, and under the direction of Grete Pedersen, the Norwegian Soloists' Choir and a baroque orchestra assembled for the occasion will perform the magnificent St. John Passion.

The choir also participates in the performances of "Lokeslottet" and "Trinity" by vocal artist and composer Ruth Wilhelmine Meyer. At the closing concert, the choir will perform music by Franz Liszt together with Leif Ove Andsnes.
