Spring is here and we lose our breath by the beauty of nature and blush of the devotion of love.

The Norwegian Soloists' Choir and conductor Vivianne Sydnes perform music from the Nordic countries.

We meet old heroes like Edvard Grieg and Jean Sibelius, and newer acquaintances like Stine Sørlie, Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen and Torbjørn Dyrud. They also perform Alfred Janson's Sonnett 76 which the Soloists' Choir released on record in 2018.

Conductor Vivianne Sydnes

Vivianne Sydnes is cantor at the Oslo Cathedral and conductor and artistic leader for Oslo Cathedral Choir. Sydnes' work includes both a cappella pieces and music for choir and orchestra. In 2015 she received a Grammy nomination in the choral album category with the Nidaros Cathedral Choir. Sydnes is Professor of Choral conducting at the Norwegian Academy of Music and is a sought after guest conductor in both Norway and abroad. She has led numerous premieres by composers such as Lasse Thoresen, Håkon Berge, Andrew Smith and Gisle Kverndokk.

The Norwegian Soloists' Choir

The Norwegian Soloists' Choir is an innovative young ensemble, steeped in a rich history. As one of Europe's leading chamber choirs, they perform spectacular concerts in Norway and abroad, in concert halls and churches, in caravans and in abandoned factory venues. The Norwegian Soloists' Choir consists of 26 hand-picked, professional singers who have a tremendous ability to blend their voices, resulting in a highly distinctive choral expression. Along with its celebrated artistic leader Grete Pedersen, the choir achieves ambitious artistic goals through constant development.
