We welcome soprano Karen Mathilde Heier Hovd to The Norwegian Soloists' Choir
Karen is a masters student at the Norwegian Academy of Music, where she studies under Professor Randi Stene. She has been a soloist with several orchestras in her hometown Trondheim, including the Trondheim Soloists orchestra "Junior Soloists", and in several of Opera Trøndelag's productions.
In 2018, Karen was a soloist at the opening of the early music festival in Leipzig, and the following year she got the role as Amor in the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra and Opera's production of Gluck's "Orfeo ed Euridice".
In 2020, Karen has been a soloist in a performance of Mahler's "Des Knaben Wunderhorn" with condcutor Vasily Petrenko, and later this year she will be heard as a soprano soloist in Handel's "Messiah" with Barokkanerne.
