06.12.2018

The album was recorded and released on BIS Records in 2017 with Ensemble Allegria and conductor Grete Pedersen.

«It is a great honor to receive this prize for a recording of Bach’s music», says conductor Grete Pedersen. «Diapason Magazine compares The Norwegian Soloists’ Choir with word leading Bach interpreters like Monteverdi Choir and Orchestra and Bach Collegium Japan. They have been focusing on early music for a decade. The Soloists’ Choir is however known for their ability to combine diverse, styles and time periods».

Diapason d’Or
The Diapason d’Or (literally “Golden Tuning Fork”) is a recommendation of outstanding classical music recordings given by reviewers of Diapason magazine in France. The Diapason d’Or de l’Année (literally “Golden Tuning Fork of the Year”) is a more prestigious award, decided by a jury comprising critics from Diapason and broadcasters from France Musique, and is comparable to the United Kingdom’s Gramophone Awards. Bach – The Motets was awarded the Diapason d’Or in April this year. It is the first time that the choir receive the The Diapason d’Or de l’Année.
