We seek Alto, Tenor and Bass for permanent position in the choir (“mutual loyalty agreement”).
THE NORWEGIAN SOLOISTS' CHOIR is Norway’s leading choir, established as a foundation. The choir was established in 1950 and consists of 26 professional singers who are engaged with a mutual loyalty agreement for up to three years based on audition. The Artistic Director and conductor of the choir since 1990 is Grete Pedersen who, as well as her work with The Norwegian Soloists’ Choir, is also professor in choral conducting at the Norwegian Academy of Music and a sought-after guest conductor.
The Norwegian Soloists’ Choir has always striven to achieve the highest possible artistic goals. In the last few years, the choir has further increased its reputation with concerts in the foremost classical musical festivals in Norway, critically acclaimed CD recordings, tours both nationally and internationally, and joint projects with leading Norwegian and international orchestras and ensembles. Most recently, the choir has had projects with, amongst others: The Norwegian Radio Orchestra, The Norwegian Opera, Ensemble Allegria, The Norwegian Wind Ensemble, and Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. The choir works on a project-based model. Singers are renumerated according to the length of each individual project. The introductory contract is for 1 year (trial period).

There will also be a second round where applicants will sing in a small ensemble together with permanent members of the choir. More information about this will be sent to applicants called into audition.

We ask that the recording is of either an oratorio aria or lied/romance. We encourage applicants to include suitable ensemble experience in the CV.

The auditions will take place in Oslo on 11th, 12th,
and 13th November 2021.
Applicants will be invited to audition after consideration of the application and recording.
