Meet our new tenor

24.10.2025

After auditions in August, we are thrilled to welcome William Wallace as a tenor in The Norwegian Soloists' Choir!

William studied at the Royal College of Music and the National Opera Studio in London. In 2016 he was awarded first prize in the prestigious London Händel Singing Competition.

He has collaborated with conductors such as Laurence Cummings, William Christie, and Masato Suzuki, and has performed on stages including Wigmore Hall, Longborough Festival Opera, and the Internationale Händel-Festspiele Göttingen.

Since moving to Norway in 2022, William has established himself as a sought-after soloist. Over the past year, he has performed at Oslo Cathedral and Stavanger Concert Hall.

His career began as an ensemble singer in various choirs across the UK and France.

I’m excited to return to this interesting, fun, and rewarding work. In recent years, I’ve sung the same five pieces over and over. Now I look forward to learning and performing new music – and discovering old gems I haven’t yet had the chance to sing.

William will be joining The Norwegian Soloists' Choir and and conductor Yuval Weinberg already next week for this year’s All Saints concerts.

It is a great joy to sing tenor in a choir! In my opinion, the tenor often has the most colorful and intricate lines, complementing the harmonies beautifully.
