Oslo Chamber Music Festival: The Deep

The Norwegian Soloists' Choir's male voices will be part of the second concert the choir does at this year's festival

The Norwegian Soloists’ Choir has been invited to Oslo Chamber Music Festival 2023!

The choir's female voices will be part of the festival opening on August 4th, and the whole choir will participate in a concert in Gamle Logen on August 6th.

Franz Schubert (1797–1828): Gesang der Geister über den Wassern
Harald Ramm Haugland (2001–): Sonata for tuba and piano (world premiere)
Knut Nystedt (1915–2014): Stabat mater
Robert Schumann (1810–1856): Dichterliebe

Join us in the deepest depths, at the bottom of the sea or in the depths of the soul.

This concert offers a newly written tuba sonata performed by tubaist August Schieldrod, and Schubert’s Gesang der Geister über den Wassern with the male voices of The Norwegian Soloist’s Choir accompanied by violas, celli and bass led by Grete Pedersen.

The Norwegian Solists' Choir will also perform Knut Nystedt’s expressive Stabat Mater with cellist Maximilian Hornung before Johannes Weisser’s heartfelt interpretation of Schumann’s Dichterliebe.
