Truths and myths
The Norwegian Soloists' Choir and young talented conductors
A special energy arises when the professional singers in The Norwegian Soloists' Choir team up with some of Europe's most talented young conductors.
This season, the choir has the pleasure of working with Heide Müller and Victor Cheng, who with this concert complete their master's degree in choral conducting at the Norwegian Academy of Music.
The program explores finding truth in a world of myths, and finding solace amidst the anguish.
Several well-known composers are on the program, such as Johann Sebastian Bach and Francis Poulenc. We will hear Norwegian folk tunes in beautiful arrangements for choirs and make acquaintances with a number of living composers who have written music to texts that are highly relevant for us today.
