The Nordic Choir Expedition
Nordic festival tour
A festival celebrating world-class vocal music presented by four of the nordic region's leading vocal ensembles. Welcome to The Nordic Choir Expedition!
Throughout history we have crossed oceans on journeys of exploration. To discover new things, to get to know each other and ourselves better. In the Nordic Choir Expedition the sea may be smaller, but the purpose remains the same.
The time has come for the Eric Ericson Chamber Choir, the Norwegian Soloists' Choir, the Helsinki Chamber Choir and Ars Nova Copenhagen to embark upon a shared course again - in June 2023.
These four professional choirs previously toured together in 2016 and 2019, including to the Orkney Islands and the Netherlands. This time we will travel between the capital cities of our four countries, to celebrate unity and share with our audiences this unique cultural experience.
The choirs will give their own concerts as well as a large concert together featuring a newly commissioned piece in five movements by the celebrated Estonian, Ukrainian born composer Galina Grigorjeva.
